FIELD: physics, measuring.
SUBSTANCE: vibrating gyroscope using superficial ultrasonic waves concerns the field of measuring technics and can be used in instrument making and mechanical engineering for measuring of angular velocity. The vibrating gyroscope on the superficial ultrasonic waves, containing a plate of a piezoelectric with the resonator on the superficial ultrasonic waves and a measuring instrument of its resonant frequency, to a loose part of a plate of a piezoelectric is attached the driver case in which the vibrating drive unit is anchored and the inertial mass, which veering of vibrations caused by occurrence of force of Coriolis is suspended, leads to change of a target signal of a measuring instrument of a resonant frequency of the resonator, working frequency of a vibrating drive unit differs from a resonator resonant frequency. The vibrating drive unit raises oscillations of inertial mass along a direction of propagation of the superficial ultrasonic waves and with frequency, in an integer of times of the smaller oscillation frequency raised by the resonator on the superficial ultrasonic waves. The vibrating drive unit can periodically be disconnected. The inertial mass can be suspended in the case of the driver with use of flexible (spring) or noncontact (electromagnetic or electrostatic) suspension.
EFFECT: increase of angular velocity measurement accuracy.
