FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument making and can be used in machine building for measuring angular velocities. The proposed gyro incorporates a piezo-electric material plate with interlocking-pin transducers (IPT) applied thereon, reflecting structures of the surface acoustic wave driver and electrodes of the potential difference transducer arranged in pairs outside the IPT at distances making, at least half the period of standing acoustic waves, and a parallel to the direction of the said waves' propagation. Note that one electrode of each pair nearby one of the aforesaid plate opposite edges. The electrodes located closer to the same edge of the aforesaid plate are electrically connected with one bus and under the acoustic oscillation absorbing layer, while the electrodes of one pair are located along one crest of the standing but closer to the opposite edges of the said plate. The terminal buses can be arranged on stiffening ribs arranged on the plate edges and in parallel to the main direction of of surface acoustic wave propagation.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurement of angular velocity.
