FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for determining fluid viscosity involves movement of a sounding balloon in it. At that, as sounding balloon there used is gas bubble marker formed at the outlet of the nozzle through which gas enters cylindrical cell filled with fluid. Nozzle diametre is determined from the following ratio: where: DC and DN - diametres of measurement cell and nozzle respectively; XC - coefficient depending on physical properties of fluid and resolution capability of devices recording the movement of bubble marker. Then there measured is passage time of gas bubble marker by counting clocking pulses the number of which depends on the passage time of the section located vertically in its upward trajectory. Then fluid viscosity is determined by the following ratio: where: η - viscosity; t - passage time of the section in the trajectory; A and B - parametres depending on physical properties of fluid and characteristics of measurement system.
EFFECT: improving measurement accuracy owing to using gas bubble marker.
