SUBSTANCE: proposed is a ticketing method in a passenger transportation system which has a station for boarding and/or alighting from a transportation vehicle of a system for traveling between stations, in which at least one station of the system is assigned at least one non-contact readable data carrier and/or at least one transportation vehicle of the system is assigned at least one non-contact readable data carrier. The non-contact readable data carriers have ticket information elements. One of the non-contact readable data carriers is read by a mobile reader on at least one station and/or at least in one transportation vehicle, and the corresponding element or ticket information element is stored in the mobile reader. At least one of the following is realised: the fare is determined from ticket information elements in the mobile reader and ticket information elements are at least stored in the buffer of the mobile reader and are sent to a remote computation server in order to determine fare.
EFFECT: easier use of an electronic ticket.
