FIELD: computer equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer equipment intended for monitoring and paying off travel tickets and identification of public transport passengers. Method includes payment of travel by means of terminal. Passenger counting system records number of passengers, passenger registers terminal – smartphone. Fare server sends a proposal to pay for the trip to the terminal via Wi-Fi. If the tariff depends on the route of the trip, and the passenger enters the arrival station, the cost of the trip is calculated. If passenger does not indicate arrival station, then maximum cost is assigned. In case of refusal to pay, a receipt comes, a penalty is assigned. To the terminal of conductor or driver comes message on number of registered in Wi-Fi, on number of entering passengers, paid, deferred payment and released passengers. Passenger at the output applies terminal with QR. Turnstile at output unlocks and blocks passenger exit.

EFFECT: simplified fare payment procedure and increased efficiency of payment monitoring.
