SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of controlling a screen display and a device using said method, and relates to computer technology. Method includes, during use of a target interface, when a target interface is detected, determining a brightness adjustment parameter corresponding to the target interface in accordance with a previously stored correspondence between an application interface and brightness adjustment parameter and reduction of current illumination brightness based on brightness adjustment parameter corresponding to target interface. In compliance with this invention, power consumption of mobile phone screen is reduced.

EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of mobile phone screen power consumption.
