FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: mobile communication device determines when faulty operation indicates loss of synchronisation with the broadcast signal and, as a result, initiates signal recapturing. Recapturing techniques can include identification and decoding only selected parts of header information in a broadcast signal. Recapture can also be initiated in accordance with one or more deterministic strategies and in testing mode during operation.
EFFECT: reduced number of false detections.
