METHOD OF DIAGNOSTICS OF FOETUS AND FORECASTING THE COURSE OF EARLY NEONATAL PERIOD OF NEWBORN Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A61B5/02

Abstract RU 2391043 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to obstetrics, perinatology and neonatology, and is designed to evaluate the status of fetus. The tension index (TI) of the foetus is identified using variational pulsometry with P.M. Baevsky's formula (TI=AMo/2·Mo·dX) at rest, pregnant woman in the supine position or in lateral position with the duration of measuring of at least 15 minutes (TI at rest). The tension index (TI) of the foetus is identified after the functional test of the mother with the measurement duration of 3-7 minutes (TI strain). According to the results of measurements dynamic factor of index of fetal stress (DFIS) is calculated as a module of the values difference (TI at rest) and (TI strain), related to the sum of these values and multiplied by 100, DFIS = 100·TI at rest - TI strain V (TI at rest - TI strain). For values DFIS from 3 to 10 the physiological condition of the foetus is defined and the physiological course during the early neonatal period of a newborn. An overruning DFIS these values indicates a violation of the functional state of the foetus and the risk of diseases in neonates in early neonatal period.

EFFECT: method allows to reveal the hidden manifestations of fetoplacental insufficiency and deadaptation of the fetus and to predict the course of early neonatal period.
