METHOD FOR PREDICTION RISK OF TRANSPLACENTAL INFECTION OF NEWBORN Russian patent published in 2014 - IPC A61B5/00

Abstract RU 2518541 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: values describing the gestation course are determined: if observing an extragenital pathology of a pregnant woman: aggravated inflammatory urinary diseases (cystitis, pyelonephritis); aggravated inflammatory otorhinolaryngological, bronchopulmonary, gastrointestinal diseases; if observing gynaecological diseases in past medical history: adnexitis, endometritis, salpingitis, vaginitis; sexually transmitted infections; if observing infections suffered during the pregnancy: acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI), TORCH infections (toxoplasmosis, rubella, cytomegalovirus, herpes simplex virus, chlamydia, mycoplasmosis); if observing foetal ultrasonography findings: hypamnion, hydramnion; disturbed hemodynamics, premature aging of placenta; intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR), and scored. The total score is calculated to determine a transplacental infection risk index (TIRI). The TIRI value enables stating low risk, medium risk, and high risk of transplacental infection of a newborn.

EFFECT: method enables prediction the risk of transplacental infection of the newborn that ensures reducing a perinatal morbidity and mortality by the integrated assessment of the values describing the gestation course.
