SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to surgical instruments and can be used in a trocar lump in order to minimise undesirable contact between the inserted instruments and compactor body. The compactor includes a compactor body designed for selective opening and closing the compactor, and protective device. The unit is located next to the compactor body and is designed to protect the compactor body from tools. The protective device includes at least one valve mounted for rotation. The valve includes an internal edge located, in general, towards the center of the compactor and the outer edge mounted on the holder element that holds the valve in a certain position above the compactor body. The valve has such shape and size that a larger part of the compactor body is closed with valve edge.

EFFECT: device allows protecting the compactor during insertion of obturator or instruments through the trocar cannula.
