FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry and can be used in casting pipes with wall thickness of 0.03 to 0.20 m from various steel grades 08X18H10T, "15Х1М1Ф", for example for nuclear and thermal power stations. Heat-isolating 0.0016-0.0019 m-thick paint layer is applied onto mould working surface. Simultaneously with metal pouring effected at the rate of 41 to 90 kg/s, heat-isolating 0.004-0.008 m-thick layer flux is applied onto metal free surface. Thermal resistance of flux layer relates to that of paint layer as 2 to 6. Mold rotation frequency complies with gravity factor of 110 to 230 with respect to casting ID.
EFFECT: directed solidification of casting with no shrinkage defects, uniform cross section structure with high physical and mechanical properties.
