FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of thermoforming containers and applying decorative strips thereon. Method of thermoforming containers and applying decorative strips thereon exploits first thermoforming unit (24) that includes at least one thermoforming chamber (28), and can turn between working position whereat containers are thermoformed in vertical position and turned position whereat decorative strip (38) is introduced into thermoforming chamber (28) prior to container thermoforming in said chamber. Note here that at least one second thermoforming unit (26) identical to said first unit (28) is used. Note here that when one of thermoforming units is in working position of thermoforming vessel (37) in thermoforming chamber (38) of this thermoforming unit, the other one or one of the other thermoforming units is in turned position allowing to introduce decorative strip in its thermoforming chamber (28) prior to thermoforming other vessel (37) in said chamber. Note also that in working position, every thermoforming unit can stay in thermoforming position whereat vessel thermoforming is performed in thermoforming chamber of this thermoforming unit, and in extraction position whereat thermoformed vessel is extracted therefrom. Note here that first decorative strip (38) is introduced into first thermoforming chamber (28) of thermoforming unit in turned position, while the other or one of the others thermoforming units is in thermoforming position while the other decorative strip (37) is introduced into other thermoforming chamber (26) of thermoforming unit in turned position, while the other or one of the others thermoforming units is in extraction position. Vessel thermoforming over, thermoforming chamber has one thermoforming unit provided with decorative strips is changed into working position for thermoforming of the next vessel.

EFFECT: reduced idle time between two successive thermoforming stages.
