SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, primarily to methods and devices intended for increasing load bearing capacity of bases under trailed machine support rollers. Novelty of this invention consists in that, with preset width of rigid roller, its diametre and capacity, mechanical characteristics of bases to be overcome, i.e. angle of internal friction and specific adhesion, are determined. Roller bearing surface is made in the form of ellipsoid of revolution or in the form of horizontal and lateral conical surfaces symmetric about roller, or only in the form of lateral conical surfaces symmetric about roller.

EFFECT: higher capacity of support roller.
