FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method for erection of foundation and bottom of large reservoir consists in determination of specific cohesion - c, angle φ of internal friction, µ0 - Poisson coefficient, Eo - module of overall deformation, y - volume weight of ground foundation under conditions of elastic compressible and still safe "first critical" pressure under bottom of reservoir, afterwards the foundation is deepened and compacted by formation of spherical, horizontal cylindrical or horizontal cylindrical, completing semispherical support surfaces with radius of circumference of spherical or width of cylindrical groove, in which reservoir is installed with bottom of according convex shape.
EFFECT: improved bearing capacity of foundation with proposed convex shape of reservoir bottom in accurately installed elastic or still safe first critical phase of their contact interaction, which guarantees safety of their interaction in wider range of outer load.
