FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical instrument making and can be used in making detection optical windows in a modified quartz capillary or capillary column, as well as for removing coating on capillary ends dipped in washing and buffer electrolytes. The method of removing outer polyimide coating from a quartz capillary which involves treatment with a solution of concentrated sulphuric acid uses the said acid heated to temperature not below 130°C and the said acid is supplied dropwise. A cooling liquid at temperature not above 6°C is simultaneously passed through the capillary. The invention is developed in subclaims of the formula.
EFFECT: more effective removal with preservation of properties of the inner surface of the capillary, developed modifier, its filler, with simplification of the method.
