FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: disk planetary variator consists of external and internal central friction disks (1) and (2), of intermediate conic friction disk-satellites (3) and of carrier (5). Ends of pivot rods (4), opposite to ends, whereon satellites are fixed, are equipped with pushers-rollers (7) rolling on working surfaces of profile openings of regulating link-disk (10) joined with output shaft (11) of the variator. The pivot rods are spring loaded relative to the carrier so, that satellites (3) under effect of springs (6) tend to centre of the variator which corresponds to decreased gear ratio. Pivot rods (4) are connected to case (23) with mechanical ties converting turn of pivot rods (4) on rotating carrier (5) into axial travel of bushing (21) actuated with lever-crank mechanism (12). Rod turned manually or by means of servo drive causes forced changes of gear ratio of the variator.
EFFECT: apart from automatic mode of operation variator allows forced change of gear ratio.
