FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to catalytic chemistry and can be applied in nitric and hydrocyanic acid and hydroxylaminosulphate production. First a source mix of gaseous reactants passes through platinoid mesh layer 4. Platinoid trap 2 is mounted on support device 3 and is made in the form of palladium-based alloy wire trap mesh 5 bank with meshes separated by heat-proof meshes 6 with pads 7 out of silicon-based gas-permeable material, placed between them. Thickness of each pad 7 comprises 2-80 diametres of trap mesh 5 wire. With platinoids removed, gas mix is discharged from reactor 1.
EFFECT: improved explosive safety of ammonia conversion process, reduced loss of platinoids.
