FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: trains overtaking and crossing are effected on double-track inserts. Reception of train on double-track insert from adjoining single-track led and transfer of train to unoccupied single-track leg adjoining said double-track inserts are allowed by clearing appropriate in and out signal lights. Non-occupancy and integrity of railway is controlled with the help of interlocking rail devices and electric interlocking system. Before train departure from stations, double-track insert entrance switches are moved into position corresponding to non-stop move in double-tract insert. Every train is assigned the route of reception on double-track insert with due allowance for switch and train positions. Locomotive onboard control device graphical display shows the said positions, tolerable train speed, coordinates of trains on controlled track section and distance to possible emergent stop of train on double-track insert.
EFFECT: increased track capacity and train control efficiency.
