FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: electrical propulsion plant includes turbine generator with control system of frequency and voltage, propulsion AC motor, reduction gear, three controlled disconnecting clutches, and the second control system. Turbine generator is connected to propulsion AC electric motor through static converter of electric power parametres. In effective travel mode, shaft of propulsion electric motor is directly connected to the shaft of propulsive screw, for which purpose the first clutch is activated and the second and the third clutches are deactivated. In order to implement full travel mode, shaft of propulsion electric motor is connected to the shaft of propulsive screw through reduction gear; for that purpose, the first clutch is deactivated, and the second and the third clutches are activated. Input of the second control system is connected to rotation velocity sensor of propulsive screw, and its outputs are connected to control system of frequency and voltage of turbine generator, to static converter of electric power parametres, to controlled disconnecting clutches. In the second version of the design, as propulsion electric motor, there used is electric DC motor; at that, static converter of electric power parametres is made in the form of controlled rectifier.
EFFECT: decreasing mass-and-dimension characteristics of electric power equipment of propulsion electric plant, increasing its efficiency.
