FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to methods and systems for measurement of flow speed, in particular - to multipath ultrasonic measurement of flow parametres. The proposed method for definition of fluid medium speed is as follows: one defines Reynolds number for the liquid medium with the help of an ultrasonic flow metre having multiple sensor pairs configured for formation of a multitude of measurement paths in the pipe; the measurement paths multitude is arranged asymmetrical relative to the pipe axial line; then the defined Reynolds number is compared to the selected range and the fluid medium speed is defined based on flow model selected from the laminar flow model, turbulent flow model and partly laminar flow model; the said model is selected based on the results of comparison of the defined Reynolds number for the said fluid medium to the selected defined Reynolds numbers range. The said method is implemented with the help of a corresponding device and rerecorded on a corresponding data carrier.

EFFECT: group of inventions enabling real time monitoring of partly developed flow profiles.
