FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: electronic measuring apparatus (20) of a coriolis flow metre excites oscillations of a flow tube at the first frequency and on the first mode of antiphase bending oscillations, measures the first oscillation characteristic of the flow tube, which is formed in response to the first oscillation frequency, excites oscillations of the flow tube at the second frequency and on the first mode of antiphase bending oscillations, measures the second oscillation characteristic of the flow tube and determines mass flow and viscosity (kinematic, dynamic) using the first and second oscillation characteristics. Density, rate of shear and Reynolds number are also determined.
EFFECT: possibility of measuring a range of flow characteristics using a coriolis flow metre without reducing performance of measuring mass flow rate.
