SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the sphere of electrical engineering. When required to use accumulator battery with output voltage 14.4 V, connected to electric tool by means of sliding in guides, as sources of electric tool supply with rated voltage of 12 V, designed for connection of accumulator battery by means of insertion of its connecting device into receiving cavity of tool, electric tool and accumulator battery are mutually joined by means of adapter connected in between. Adapter comprises field transistor, which switches with specified frequency and working cycle. Electric connection or disconnection of accumulator battery and electric tool is done by means of switch opening and closing, at the same time when opened, output voltage of accumulator battery drops. Output voltage of accumulator battery is detected. Drop of this voltage below specified level is considered as a signal of impermissible current rise or impermissible depth of discharge. In this case field transistor closes to disconnect electric tool.
EFFECT: expansion of device functionality and increased reliability of operation.
