SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to electrical traction systems of vehicles powered by own power supply sources. Invention discloses power unit of electric vehicle, electric vehicle with such power unit and method of heating electric vehicle storage battery. Power unit of electric vehicle comprises accumulator battery (101), accumulator (102) heater, connected with accumulator (101), device for controlling accumulators (103), electrical distribution box (104), engine (105), motor controller (106) and distinguishing inductor (L2). Device for controlling accumulators (103) is configured to control accumulator heater when storage battery temperature is below first threshold value for heating, and residual charge of accumulator is greater than threshold value of charge in motion. Device for controlling accumulators is configured to track current rate of change of traction of electric vehicle in real time and stop heating of accumulator when current rate of change of traction force reaches a preset threshold.

EFFECT: longer service life of electric vehicle storage battery.
