RESEARCH METHOD FOR IDENTIFICATION OF SIGNS CHARACTERISTIC FOR SCOLIOTIC DEFORMATION Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B5/103

Abstract RU 2745132 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to research methods for identifying signs characteristic of scoliotic deformity. The method includes the use of mobile computer equipment equipped with an accelerometer and a photo/video camera to take pictures of a patient in the frontal plane in a forward flexion position, while the pictures are taken from the head and back. Mobile computer equipment is oriented so that its photo / video camera is oriented in space perpendicular to the horizon line, and the internal accelerometer of mobile computer equipment is used to install the photo / video camera. A computer is used to quantitatively analyze and evaluate the angle of rotation of the trunk to the horizon line. When taking pictures, a vertical axis (3) is indicated on the screen of mobile computer equipment, along which the patient is exposed so that the vertical axis passes through the sagittal plane (4) of the torso in the flexion position. Horizontal lines are drawn on the surface of the patient's back, according to the change in shape of which, when bending forward, the rotation of the trunk is calculated, while based on the value of the extremely protruding sections of the horizontal lines.

EFFECT: increases accuracy of assessing static disorders of the spine in the frontal plane during remote diagnosis of scoliotic deformity of the spine.
