FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgical endocrinology, particularly to minimally invasive surgical techniques. There is a surgical procedure with applying interstitial laser photocoagulation of the tissue of the hyperplastic parathyroid. Said surgical procedure is outpatient or hospital without anesthesia. The pulse duration is 200 ms, pulse number per a session is 150 - 4000, the duration of one session is 30-840 seconds, and number of sessions for each parathyroid is 2 to 4.
EFFECT: method provides low traumatism and reliability ensured by locality of the damage and accuracy of thyroid tissue destruction.
