SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery. Anterior-superior mediastinum is followed by Kocher cervicitomy. Brachiocephalic vein is separated by blunt method and Buyalsky's blade is removed to back. Thereafter, the atypically located parathyroid gland is mobilized and grasped into the fenestrated Luer's forceps, on which the vessels feeding it are also ligated. Then the parathyroid gland is removed.

EFFECT: method allows achieving reduction of hyperparathyroidism, enlarging possibilities of surgical intervention in hyperparathyroidism with atypical location of parathyroid in anterior superior mediastinum, with low access injuries, fast postoperative rehabilitation and simple performance, and does not require specialized equipment and instruments for its implementation by performing Kocher cervicotomy, recovering a brachiocephalic vein and bringing it backward with a Buyalsky blade, using the fenestrated Luer's forceps.
