FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention aims at improving quality of metal strips. Proposed method comprises cold rolling, re-crystallisation annealing and strip ageing. Billet represents cartridge of unarmed projectile and narrowed front and bottom parts cut off. Note here that said billet is first annealed, and then its wall is subjected to double-angle bending to zero inner angles. Then cartridge with bent wall is subjected to cold rolling with reduction making at least 35%, annealed again and bands are cut off on both sides to produce strips to be aged separately.
EFFECT: higher strength and corrosion resistance.
