FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy, particularly, to production of cold-rolled strips with thickness of 0.35–0.70 mm for subsequent application of polymer coating. Method comprises continuous casting of steel containing, wt.%: carbon 0.07–0.13, silicon not more than 0.04, manganese 0.12–0.40, sulfur not more than 0.02, phosphorus not more than 0.02, chrome not more than 0.07, nickel not more, than 0.10, copper not more, than 0.10, aluminum 0.01–0.05, nitrogen not more than 0.008, total content of niobium, molybdenum, titanium and vanadium not more than 0.045, iron and unavoidable impurities – balance, hot rolling of slab with rolling end temperature 820–870 °C, hot-rolled strips coiling at temperature of 560–620 °C, etching, cold rolling, recrystallization annealing at temperature of 590–690 °C and tempering of annealed strip with reduction of 0.15–0.30 %.
EFFECT: increased yield of rolled stock with polymer coating due to reduced sorting by surface defects.
