FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device to produce polygonal-section paper tube comprises: bed, narrow and elongated core assembly, first core rotation drive, first power transfer appliance to receive power from first said drive and transfer received power to core assembly. Besides proposed device comprises: transfer element fitted on core assembly for at least one transfer element to extend from core assembly outer surface with paper strips wound thereon, second drive to provide power for continuums extending of transfer element from core assembly outer surface and second power transfer appliance to receive power from first said drive and transfer received power to core assembly. One end of core assembly rests on the frame to rotate therein, while another end is free so that paper strips may be wound on core assembly outer surface to overlap thereon. Said paper strips, except for lower strip, are pre-coated with adhesive. Core assembly outer surfaces features preset polygonal shape. Transfer element is arranged to allow extending part to move towards core assembly free end driven by received power. Note that continuously extending part of transfer element is brought in contact with inner side of lower strip of multiple wound paper strips to continuously move them towards core assembly free end.

EFFECT: continuous production of polygonal paper tubes of preset thickness.
