FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical treatment of materials and specifically to compositions of suspensions used in jet hydroabrasive treatment and can also be used, for instance in cleaning surfaces of various articles and structures from natural and man-made contaminants, paint etc, without damaging the base of the article, as well as in repair and restoration of monuments, including architectural monuments where there is need to remove thin surface layers. The composition consists of a mechanical mixture of water and a solid phase in which the solid particles used are aluminium oxide, silicon dioxide, calcium oxide particles or mixtures thereof. Calcium aluminate is added to the suspension in amount of 3…10 vol. %.

EFFECT: use of the said composition provides protection of a cleaned surface from recontamination and also reduces deposition of separate fractions of the suspension in the transportation system, in the initial container and on walls of main pipelines.
