FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: high pressure vessel contains external sturdy shell consisting of bottom parts of ellipsoid shape and of central circular cylinder part located between bottom parts; further, vessel contains internal pressure tight thin-wall corrugated metallic liner, coated outside with viscoelastic material. Also at least one of bottoms of the liner is flat with low convexity inside liner volume. A pressure converter is installed in space formed between surface of the liner and surface of the ellipsoid bottom part of the sturdy shell, notably, there is ensured tight contact along whole surface enveloping this space. The pressure converter corresponds to a rigid profile base from the side of the sturdy shell and to elastic cushion from the side of the cylinder part of the shell; the elastic cushion is made as a set of separated one from the other disks of alternate thickness out of viscoelastic material of variable density.
EFFECT: increased strength of vessel, reduced weight and expenditures for fabrication.
