FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in welding particularly thin-wall shells and tube billets from stainless steel. Device casing represents a round horizontal support plate whereon circular separator with deforming elements is arranged. Deforming elements are grouped in separator along circumference to form alternating sectors. Every sector comprises first group of elements with their lengthwise axis runs along support plate radius and second group of element with their lengthwise axis directed at angle α0 to support plate radius. The number of first group elements relates to that of the second group as (3-6)/1, while said angle α0 varies from 35° to 50°.
EFFECT: high surface finish that allows high quality of welding.
