FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method includes supplying flow of air or gas from outer source to scraper, generation of pressure difference at it, movement of scraper by force developed on it by pressure difference, and creation of braking force on scraper, value of which depends on characteristics of area relief, by energy accumulated after transformation of flow energy part into electrical and mechanical types. Values of scraper speed and motion acceleration are monitored, and if they deviate from specified ones, they are corrected by variation of braking force value. Pressure of flow and working fluid flow rate are specified in advance depending on area relief and are preserved constant in value during all time of scraper motion in inspected section of pipeline. Device comprises source of working fluid, scraper made of body and collar, hydraulic system, electric system and pneumatic system, spring-loaded wheels, spring mechanism of wheels pressing to surface of motion, sensor of speed motion, unit of monitoring and control, heat utiliser, unit of relief, units of friction, hydraulic cylinder of single-sided action with spring, controlled traction rod, hinged unit and eye bolt.

EFFECT: high-quality and efficient control and diagnostics of inspected manifold pipeline condition.
