FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: capacity under pressure, which operates as a sump, is equipped in addition with vertical diagnostics tube with closed upper part and with protrusion beyond the limits of the capacity bottom. Inside the capacity sump the tube has similar horizontal connection pipes located uniformly along its surface area. Surface of connection pipes is made from the material not capable of being dampened and adhered with oil and its component. In lower part the diagnostics tube is connected to ball valve with the flow passage not less than cross section of the tube itself. Diagnostics tube has such diametre at which the total section area of jets inside the tube from all connection pipes is smaller than section area of the tube. Fulfillment of those conditions allows periodic estimation of thickness of deposits at the bottom of sump capacity by the flow rate of liquid from diagnostics tube at fully open valve.
EFFECT: possibility of periodic estimation of deposits and their thickness without stopping the operation of the capacity.
