FIELD: technological pipelines.
SUBSTANCE: separator of liquids for pipeline diagnostics is designed for application in pipeline transport of liquids and gases in order to detect availability and location of deposits and sediments in pipeline length. Separator consists of multiple balls with small diametre with different densities, which are assembled with the help of elastic meshy shell into ball shape with internal diametre of pipeline, and diagnosing part in the form of distance detectors and registering element. Distance detectors and registering element are evenly fixed to internal side of meshy shell. As separator moves along pipeline, by pumping of high-density liquid into pipeline, distance detectors define distances between each other with specified frequency and send this information into registering element. Function of registering element consists in finding of average value of distances between detectors for the time of detector travelling in the pipeline. Invention suggests principle of assessment of pipeline internal diametre, as well as the movable separator itself, by extent of its elongation in pipeline narrow spots due to availability of deposits.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of information provision on amount and location of deposits and sediments in pipeline.
