FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to the field of pipeline transportation of oil, gas and petroleum products, and can be used for diagnosis of the internal conditions of pipelines. The separator consists of elastic sphere made from a set of smaller spheres of the same diameter, but of different density, using a net covering in the form of a sphere. Some of the spheres have density ρ, less than ρ1, while others have density greater than ρ2. The bulk of the spheres have an intermediate density: ρ1≤ρ≤ρ2, where c1 and ρ2 are the respective densities of the lighter and heavier fluids during separate transmission of liquids in the pipeline.
EFFECT: separator has a higher trafficobility and improved shuttering of the flow section of the pipeline.
