FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: passive-matrix LCD consisting of two substrates integrated into package has first isolating layer of first substrate accommodating strip-like second isolating layer. Second conducting layer and orienting layers are consecutively arranged at apices of second isolating layer. Note here that solely orienting layer is applied on second substrate. Besides first transparent conducting layer is orthogonal to strip-like second isolating layer and second conducting layer at apices of said strips. In compliance with control method, data signal is sent to strip-like electrodes formed by first conducting layer of first substrate electrode.

EFFECT: data display in real time, higher contrast of cut-in image relative to cut-out image.
