FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: proposed solution enables determination of presence of a mobile station in at least one service area of a mobile communication system which provides services in several geographically distributed service areas. The mobile station is activated in order to provide information on the position associated with presence of the mobile station at the position which receives services from the service area which contains the given special service area. If present in the special service area, the mobile station automatically receives special services to which it has rights. Reception of special services is automatically indicated to the mobile station user.
EFFECT: reduced load on administrative functional communication centres.
