FIELD: wireless communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of connection of user equipment to a wireless network, namely to the identification and authentication of a wearable device connected to user equipment in a mobile communication network. Both user equipment and wearable device are connected to the mobile communication network using a single registration request transmitted by user equipment to the mobile communication network and containing a user equipment identifier and a wearable device identifier. The authentication of the wearable device is performed based on an identifier module of a wearable device subscriber using a call-response mechanism and the wearable device identifier communicated with user equipment.
EFFECT: provision for wearable devices of the possibility of their identification and authentication by the operator network without the need of their implementation in the form of full-functional mobile cellular communication devices.
