SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to psychiatry and clinical psychology, to diagnostic techniques of diseases by psychological tests. A person being tested or an analyst who diagnoses a disorder on the basis of the answers of the person being tested, completes a test presented in Table 1. With using a key presented in Table 2, the analyst marks in Table 1 or Table 2 each matching answer of the person being tested and the key, counts up number of such matches; with referring to Table 3, either in the same tables 1 or 2, or in Table 3, the analyst marks matches (points) fit to the scales "instability", "self-injurious behaviour", "suicidal behaviour". Then number of points fit to each scale, and total are counted. If the derived total in the person aged 18-27 years old is equal or exceeds 22, in the person aged 28-37 years old is equal or exceeds 18, in the person aged 38-47 years old is equal or exceeds 19, in the person aged 48 and more years old is equal or exceeds 17, boundary personality disorder observed in the person being tested is concluded.

EFFECT: method allows for early detection of boundary personality disorder and well-timed prevention of self-injurious and suicidal behaviour.
