FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: testing of diagnosed person is carried out by table "Scale of clinical rating assessment of borderline personality disorder", which includes 15 clinically identifiable signs: female sex, presence of violence situation in child-teen age, conflict environment in parents' family, hostility of patient to one of the parents, early separation, presence in anamnesis of self-harm, episode of aggressive behaviour, episodes of alcoholism or drug addiction with socially significant consequences, early start of sex life, more than one marriage, intention to change partner, presence of depressive episode, presence of risky driving or binge, complaints about mood swings, manipulation of doctor during interview, as well as assessment of their behaviour in the process of carrying test by doctor. The total point index is determined by summing up points by each sign, when presence of sign is 1 point. When sum of 12 points and higher is achieved for patients younger than 40 years old and 10 points and higher for patients older than 40, borderline personality disorder is diagnosed. Diagnostics is carried out for the moment of initial interview.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase objectivity and reliability of diagnostics of borderline personality disorder due to application of clinical rating scale with signs, applied in clinical psychiatry.
