FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of construction materials which contain ceramic fibre and are designed for making heat insulating articles. The heat insulating article made from fire-resistant composite layered material contains a base made from ceramic fibres which are bound by an organic high-molecular binder in form of cold swelling starch Solvitose PLV. The article has an additional outer shell made from hydraulically solid material Alphabond 300, modified by nanosized colloidal hydrates of Si, Al, Zr.
EFFECT: increased strength and reduced thermal conductivity.
