FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of graphitised structural materials of new generation with increased physical and mechanical properties intended for producing carbon products of wide quality range. Invention relates to nanostructured coal-tar pitch modified by nano-dispersed carbon additive in amount of 0.3 to 1.0 percent by weight. Invention relates to method of producing nanostructured coal-tar pitch whereby coal-tar pitch is mixed in solid phase with nano-dispersed carbon. Then mix is heated to above softening point at constant mixing and cooled down.
EFFECT: higher quality, high specific surface sorbs volatile coal-tar pitch substances thus facilitating their carbonisation in thermal treatment.
