FIELD: composite materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology for producing graphite-based composite materials according to the "filler-binder" scheme, namely, to the stage of mixing fine-grained coke filler and high-temperature pitch binder, developing the required mixing mode. The extrusion method for producing a pitch-coke composition for manufacturing graphite materials based on a fine-grained filler of an isotropic structure includes the stage of pre-mixing finely dispersed pitch coke of an isotropic structure with a maximum particle size of no more than 10 mcm and high-temperature coal tar pitch of a fraction less than 2.5 mm in a tumbling drum mixer with three steel balls as stirring activators for 30 minutes and performing extrusion hot mixing in a twin-screw extruder at a temperature of 290°C.

EFFECT: increase in the surface interaction of the fine coke filler and the pitch binder, in turn increasing the density and strength of the resulting graphite materials.
