FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: electrical machine includes stator (S), rotor (R) and closed housing (K) which seals rotor (R) relative to stator (S). For effective cooling, the stator has liquid cooling device with the appropriate stator cooling circuit (SK), and closed housing (K) forms some part of external wall of closed cooling circuit (SK). At that, according to invention, rotor (R) is streamlined with process medium; between process medium and cooling liquid of stator (S) in closed cooling circuit (SK) there located is compensation device (A) for pressure balancing, which has electric control for active pressure balancing, and cooling liquid of liquid cooling device is the liquid containing compound ether.

EFFECT: simplifying and increasing cooling efficiency of totally-enclosed electrical machines.
