SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to ophthalmology, and can be used for treatment of horizontal nystagmus. 1.5 hours before photodynamic therapy (PDT), transconjunctival scanning irradiation of zone of external and internal rectus muscles to sclera is performed with low-intensity laser irradiation, 1 hour before PDT during 10 minutes PS of chlorine series in dose 0.8 mg/kg × 0.5 is introduced intravenously drop-by-drop, the remaining part of PS dose 0.8 mg/kg × 0.5 being introduced 10 min before PDT. In the course of PDT performed is transconjunctival irradiation of external and internal rectus muscles with energy density 150-200 J/cm² with two spots of laser irradiation with overlapping.

EFFECT: invention ensures absence of surgical intervention necessity, dosed laser impact on rectus muscles of eye, considerable reduction of horizontal nystagmus amplitude.
