FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions for oral cavity care. Described are compositions, which include: (a) from approximately 0.01 to approximately 10 wt % of in fact water-insoluble zinc compound, (b) from approximately 0.01% to approximately 10 wt % of water-soluble polyphosphorilated inosite compound, selected from phytic acid, myoinosite pentakis(dihydrophosphate); myoinosite tetrakis(dihydrophosphate); myoinosite trikis(dihydrophosphate) and their salts of alkali metals, alkali earth metals or ammonium and their mixtures; and orally acceptable carrier.
EFFECT: compositions are efficient for prevention and control of oral cavity states, including dental deposit, dental tartar, caries, periodontal disease, unpleasant smell from mouth and dental erosion, and have acceptable esthetic characteristics without unpleasant astringent and metallic taste associated with zinc application.
