FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology and food industries and is a probiotic composition, or premix, comprising: from 0.5 to 75% of live or viable probiotic yeast from 10 to 95% yeast cell walls and from 0 to 95% of nutritional supplement including in particular vitamins and/or trace elements, and/or amino acids, and/or other additives intended for animal nutrition, at that the percentage represents the ratio of mass of dry substance (component) to the total weight of composition.
EFFECT: invention provides improved stability over time in probiotic yeast in premix due to mixing them with yeast cell walls instead of other commonly used premix carriers such as wheat flour or calcium carbonate, and this stability increasing over time makes them more resistant to granulation.
