FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to flight tests wherein cable systems (CS) made up of towing vehicle, cable and towed aircraft are used to define aerodynamic characteristics of the latter and indentify its control system, perfect air refueling systems, cargoes air transport and dropping with the help of cable systems and develop AA systems and methods to counter fight them. Method comprises determining cable coordinates and speed continuously as well as defining towing vehicle speed and location parametres with the help of CS motion mathematical simulation at onboard digital computer with the help of cable motion equations. In simulation, initial set of equations reduced to a certain set of equations for fast calculation based on the principle of discrete increment of power and CS dynamic parametres and on knowledge about the character of speed variation in cable points with both time and length. Said set of equations for fast calculation is solved in flight tests aboard towing vehicle using obtained boundary conditions.

EFFECT: higher accuracy, intensified flight tests and reduced costs of flight tests.
