FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering, particularly, to in-flight analysis of aircraft using trailing line systems including towing aircraft, trailing line and tow object. Proposed method includes the following calculations for every point at trailing line: angles of attack and glide, force of line tension by the following equation of line unit length motion in inertial coordinates: Radius of rotation is defined: phase shift: and distance from line current point to towing aircraft (detraction): where is vector of speed, m is weight, t is time, is vector of tension force, s is coordinate corresponding to length between tow object and line current point. Mathematical simulation and set of towing line motion equations are used to calculate trailing line system motion parameters. Recommendations are issued on towing aircraft flight parameters and line physical parameters corresponding to tolerable detraction of tow object, small radius and speed of its rotation.
EFFECT: accurate delivery of payload, reduced costs of in-flight experiments.
